Hey Guys,

I know there are a few threads discussing the IUR's and such but wanted to start a new one with a slightly different subject. I need to pick up a lower for the IUR en route to me. Colt's official response is any lower that follows the CAD or US TDP will work. How can I be sure the lower I eventually purchase will fit without issue?

I assume most manufacturers follow or exceed the TDP and the lug patterns will match. I want to avoid any sloppiness between the upper and lower if at all possible.

I am currently looking at the LMT lowers and am combing the EE for a Knights if anyone is willing to split up a rifle. Ideally I'd like to keep my SA20 together which is why I am sourcing another lower. Any other high quality lower suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Buy a Milspec lower. You'll be fine. I've had good success with Palmetto State Armory and Aero Precision.

Colt, Bushmaster, Spikes, LMT, DD, RRA, Stag, etc etc will all do.

Hell even CC installs a mag wedge in their guns from factory.

Buy a CC SA15.7 or SA20, then you can exchange uppers at will and you will have a genuine CC lower. Other than that, most quality lowers will fit.
