Well a very good friend (Doug) finished yet another sweet project for me. A nice wood set for the CSA 7.5".

Yes Curtton I know I am a little late to the party but who cares cuz I still showed up!!!

This set is made out of Cherry wood, I dont really think my camera does any justice to the actual colour and showing the beautiful grain of this wood.

Finish with what I believe to be tru-oil (speak up anytime on this matter buttwhat as you know much better then me).

Here it is in all its glory

and the family. Although it is missing the 18.5" CZ, it is under going a very "SECRET PROJECT" that may take a little longer then the rest. But it should be a perfect piece to finish the collection. I will not say anymore on the "SECRET PROJECT" for now but stay tuned!!!!!

Top AK clone is made out of Red Oak
Middle Draco clone is made out of Zebra Wood
Bottom Pistol version is made out of Cherry Wood.

Hope you guys enjoy.:D

bfiles...nice looking rifles! How do you decide which one to shoot?
I'm thinking the wood lower fore-grip will stay cool vs the stock polymer? Cause it starts to cook after 100rnds even with gloves on.
buttwhat...nice work. Have you considered making more and selling them?

Wow the wood that you have on there makes the "rifle" look great. Can you give us a hint on what that "SECRET PROJECT" might be about? ;)

Im trying guys... honestly!...Since its not my only job and hobby and my shop is quite far out of the city where I live... I have cut my time up North to a few visits a month on weekends due to gas and expenses. Soon I will put some kits up for sale.. I promise. Some will be folder kits some will be full buttstock kits - each uniquely different from one another. As bfiles will attest...it takes me a while but I try to do the best job I possibly can. Everything is basically done by hand and someday I dream of cleaning the residue out of my CZs rather than cleaning out the dust from all the fitting of parts.

those are some very nice pieces you have there, congrats!
Are all 3 custom made by your same friend? You basically show up to him with the original stock piece and hand him a chunk of cherry wood? Sounds like fun

I wish it was that easy...theres usually discussion on what bfiles is looking at accomplishing...then theres the actual planning of type material.. finish color ...ect and obtaining any extra parts...then there is the actual process of making it...I bet bfiles could do a slide show with the pics I have sent him of the progress along the way on most of his furniture.
