I bought a new truck and Sea-Doo this summer and really had a blast! But as a result, range days didn't happen. Now that the weather is cooling off and the Sea-Doo is away, I've started shooting again and I realized again why I love it so much!
This has caused a serious case of the AR itch to flare up and now my bank account is really getting some work... I bought a .22 upper and built a stripped lower that I've had kicking around for about a year now. Just waiting on a CTR butt stock and some 25rd & 50rd mags in the mail, and I can finally get out to shoot it.
That wasn't enough though... I've always loved the long range setups, so why not build one! I picked up another lower on the EE, and I am in the process of piecing together a 24" stainless barrelled upper. I've already got a RRA LPK, JP reduced power springs, Ergo grip and a Magpul PRS stock to get things rolling. I'm still stuck on what optic I want to finish this off with though. Obviously I'll only be using it on the range (200 yards max), so I'm not interested in spending $1000 on a scope. I'd prefer to keep it under $400, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to chime in.
