so incredibly beautiful for an inexpensive rifle. I won't call it cheap, but inexpensive. I cannot believe I got this 1937 vintage "potato chucker" (9.3x57) for only $280. Thanks Tradeex!

Puts to shame the new crop of plastic fantastics like the Ruger American/Stevens ect.

Nice rifle with some class to boot!

Nice figuring on that wood. Beauty.

Amazes me that people even buy new rifles when their are tons of old rifles around that shoot better than most shooters, and are all quality; wood and blued steel.

That is one gorgeous piece of lumber,no doubt about that.We have purchased several rifles from Tradex and more than a few of them have really nice wood,in fact the nicest stocks in the rack are older Swede sporters,an M96 FSR target rifle, and a couple of really nice Mauser M98's worked very nicely into 9X57,just love those rifles.Inexpensive to purchase and very good value for the dollar.I have had good luck with CH4D dies when I have been unable to source from regular channels and you can order direct from them as well out of the US,they carry an amazing number of less common calibers.Anyway, love that rifle, should be a good shooter.

Nice one! Could you tell it was that nice in the trade ex picture on their site, or did you just buy it and then realize you lucked out when you opened the box?

I could tell that it was better than most, but it was much better in person. To tell the truth, I was mostly looking for one without a crack behind the tang and got the figured wood as a nice bonus :)
