Have a pre 1940s Iver Johnson Champion in 20 gauge. Opens when fired. Upon reading about this issue my problem may be the 2 3/4" shells I was using. Can anyone confirm whether 2 3/4" shells are appropriate or if it was intended for 2 1/2".
