I was just down at my local gun shop picking a few things up and I noticed a sweet little Iver Johnson 20 gauge ( being sold on consingment ) for 80$. Its generally in pretty good condition, excellent bore, the finish is wearing thin, and the butt plate is cracked, but it caught my eye and the price was right, so I picked it up.
I rushed it home and then I had to run to work (I am writing this at work now).
The more I think about it the more I like the gun, and really who cares for 80$ if it shoots.......But wondering if any one thinks this was a good deal....I dont know anything about Iver Johnson...nothing at all.....spur of the moment purchase.
 
was at the range on saturday with it...the best I can say is she is a grumpy old gun, the ejector works every 2nd time, its hard to break to get the unejected shells...ect ect...but she patterned awsome from 25 yards....I now realize i don't have to spend money all the time, she has class, i am happy, and for the money she is my new hunting shotty.....fell in love for 80$ what a whore I AM.
Johnny cash couldn't sing it better. Love my new gun! Hope you all are as happy as me.....sorry for the emotion...Labbat 50 and my dog gets me every time
 
Get inside, clean out and lube the works and see if there's something catching the ejector like it's not bent or anything like that. Once freshly cleaned and lubed I'll bet it works all the time.
