I just had a whole bunch of this stuff donated to me! Anyone remember what the quality was like? It is loaded with the Seirra match bullets so I'm assuming it should perform well. It is old enough that I almost feel guilty feeding it to my Norinco M-14!

IIRC the IVI ball is a 147grain FMJ.

If yours has 168 gr Sierra Match stuffed in them, then they are NOT factory, they are reloads... And, you know the number one rule about reloads... DON'T shoot them if you didn't pack 'em!

Cheers
Jay

They are factory in sealed 500 round cases (cardboard cases with 20 round boxes inside.). This is not military ball ammo. The box actually says Seirra bthp in small print. Imperial is the brand in large print. I looked for an indication of when it was manufactured but haven't determined that yet. I'll have to open a case and see. Any Imperial experts around?

I think it chronies lower. not more than 50-60 fps. the old C3 with 50k rounds thru them still shoot those rounds at about 3/4 moa ...not bad

Thanks again. Sounds like it might be perfect in my m14 for some target work and I'll try it through my model 70 target, heavy barrel as well.
