So, looking at the PMC 5.56mm "Military spec ammunition. 62gr FMJ" ammo that TSE (and probably others) have for sale, versus IVI 62gr FMJ... which is better? Any real difference?? I have used PMC, and I'm now buying some IVI, so I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Getting it from a guy on here, actually - don't want to give his name, as I know he's sold out (I bought up what he had) and I'm sure he doesn't want to be swamped with PMs

What they are getting at is that IVI has not released 62 gr 5.56 to civvies for years, it is issue ammo only. The last batch they released was deemed sub-standard by them (or the CF, I forget the details).

Thanks, all! I know the PMC green-tip stuff is good; hopefully the IVI is comparable. Knowing the member I'm buying it from, I don't doubt it will be decent. I searched further on here, and there was a previous post with regard to this ammo: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296051&highlight=BCRA+IVI

Back on topic - has anyone had experience with both types of ammo, and if so, have you noticed any difference?

"...have no idea of what you guys are talking about..." Any IVI 62 grain ball ammo you see around was stolen from Her Majesty's Canadian Forces. The CF does not release ammo that is surplus to requirements for sale to civilians.
Relax. Nobody will be kicking your door down in the middle of the night.
Better to use the PMC. You won't be able to get more IVI ammo.
