Spoke with iwi usa today
And he says there 18" barrel is actually a 18.5" barrel.
Can north sylva comment.

Great news
Hope this makes your day better.

Is it just me or does North Sylvia seem to have little to no intention of supporting the Tavor platform ? I have tried multiple times to get a hold of them to get a replacement barrel pivot lock something that is easily orderable off the U.S. Tavor site but since were in Canada were screwed ! If North Silvia does not want to support the Tavor is there a way to petition IWI to ditch them and give the rights to a dealer actually willing to sell Tavor stuff to people ? There are a lot of Tavors in Canada and no support, I was curious if Zahal could offer support since they are also in Israel and are excellent to deal with for the things we can order from them.

off topic for a second, as much as I want the .300 conversion too, but why do you need to replace the barrel lock? how did you break that? lol

The lock tab snapped off when I was turning it to remove the barrel for the new trigger bow, it snagged or something but ya it snapped the little tab off. Apparently tho its one part that people break the most, so i'm not in the minority LOL

Which is why you can buy them off IWI US they sell a lot

North sylva doesn't give a damn about anything other than their initial sale. After that they want nothing to do with the end users problem.

Thats what i mean the Canadian market is pretty big for the Tavor sales it seems stupid that getting parts to maintain them is like pulling teeth yet easier then buttering bread if we were american

Ok I can definitely see that. All I know is that barrel key is harder to turn when the gun already has 5000+ rounds through it. I think I slightly bent my tab as well. I was really scared to not break anything. Now that you mention it, it is a pretty fragile part.
