This past weekend my friend and I took our Tavors our for a shoot on his land. It's hard to explain but he has this rock ledge at the eastern part of his land (He has about 30 acres) that we climb to get to a nice wide open part of his land with a nice mountain for a backstop. So during our climb, his cheap sling gave way, and down fell his Tavor. It took a nice 15 foot drop, and took some nice hits on the rocks on the way down.
We climbed down and inspected the damage. Some dings on the barrel and top rail, and some nicks in the body, but the biggest one was a nice chunk taken out of the right hand side of his magwell. The mags still load and unload fine, but he looked pretty heartbroken when looking at the chunk missing. We couldn't find the piece that broke (he wanted to glue it).
Since the Tavor body is one single solid piece (for the most part), it's not like he can swap the lower or anything.
Do you guys know where we can potentially get a replacement body? That's literally all he needs. He purchased it through Wolverine, but I doubt this is covered under warranty, since it's technically his own fault. Should he go through them for any replacement parts? I heard that IWI are sticklers when it comes to parts, and that you would need to go through them directly.
Any info would be great. I felt really bad for him seeing the look on his face every time he looked at the chunk missing from his favorite rifle.
