IWI X95 5.56 bolt carrier groups - are they the same as 300BLK carrier groups?

My brother just purchased a new X95 in 5.56, and upon disassembly it appears to have a 300BLK bolt carrier assembly in it. Page 74 in the manual points out the main difference with the bolt rod.


Here is the video (at 2.15) showing a 5.56 being broken down, note the slot in the carrier immediately behind the piston head and position of the bolt rod when the bolt pin is being removed.

Here is a 300 Blackout being broken down, there is no slot in the carrier and the bolt rod protrudes further back when snapped into its rearward position.

I went back to the vendor and the other X95 5.56 they had in inventory also appeared to have a 300BLK carrier. Is there anybody who knows if they changed the 5.56 carrier and never updated the manual?

The videos seems to say otherwise, unless it's changed since October.

I stand corrected - apparently this was a in-line change and now the only difference is the piston head itself. Attached is the thread from NS clarifying things, will leave this here.

What ??? Sorry am I mistaken I thought only barrel swap was needed for 300 black out
