Izhevsk SKS,anyone else find one?

Here is a poor quality pic of my 1954r Izhevsk... All matching except the 1951r Tula stock... Gotta get better pics in natural light.

Box landed today!...1953r dated serial is quite low ###52...and in damn good shape too..other than the Tula stock re serialed to the rifle the metal appears to match up nicely,and unfired since the refurb...

Still is a long way from making up for all the Izzy stocks floating around on Tula rifles. I've seen 5 Izzy's on Tulas myself.

I've noticed that....I guess they were not arsenal specific when the rifles were refurbed.Or likely the wood was salvaged and reused..??I have no idea..

What I was getting at is where are all these Izzys hiding. There are way more stocks then rifles so far.

That is an idea,but even though this stock is a Tula from 1951,it has the Izzy stamp on the right side of the buttstock,with the usual ###XX of the old serial # on the left...I think I'll leave her as is....One different thing though,..the bayonet is the shiniest steel I have seen for any SKS yet....
