I got the urge to pick one of these up but would like to get some opinions. I have seen the quality of the Russian guns before, not pretty but built like a tractor axle. I don't have a problem putting up the cash if they are good, but I would like some opinions from those who have used and seen them. Thanks.

Depending on what you want to do with them... there can be a HUGUE price difference between the rifles, depending on the stock it comes with.

These two BB might share the same barreled action, but one will cost about twice the amount $

And things can quickly get out of hand if they have a SV99 stock

And a Altius stock alone will set you back $1000 USD

The BB7-2KO and the version 5 can be had for under $1000 cdn. I don't believe they are a stock item yet, but are available as a special order item from Interammo.
I own one of each I can't understand why people keep wanking about the price? I know when they were first introduced they could be had for $400 USD or so many years ago. Now they are more than double that, get over it, times have changed!
- Most owners will tell the accuracy is equivalent or better than a CZ452 with trigger job.
- They still cost less than a new 1400 series 64 action Anschutz
- The only other options for a biathlon action is the Fortner, which is $3600+ or $2800+ for the barrelled action or you could get an Izhmash 7-3/7-4, but that would still be $1800+

The best value in the Izhmash line is the 7-2 version 5. This one has the same adjustable trigger as the 7-4 and a similar competition style stock, yet it's shorter and nearly as light as the BB7-2KO. Range report to follow in coming months.

they also have different trigger mechanisms, both rear and front sights...

Since there is some interest for 7-2KO we decided to bring them regularly in small quantities. currently have couple basic version rifles in stock. Should get more of both basic and 05 in March. Extra magazines and spare parts are also ordered. Not sure if we should get them in .22WMR as well (about $180 more than .22LR). thoughts?
