###-ay, but I can tell just by looking at it that I couldn't afford one.

Looks like some california compliant crap, for too much money. I think Sage started the M14 Chassis and will continue to hold up thier EBR in its ranks for a while. Even those VOltor stocks don't look like too much time went into them.

Found those stock at 580USD at West-Texas Armory, which is quite good of a price!

Now if only we could get them out of the US... Maybe ask them to label it as a M1A stock, and not M14...?

It is not a USGI M14 component, so that particular export restriction wouldn't apply. However it is over the $100.00 U.S. limit, so an export permit is still required.

IMHO, you can't really compare this stock with the Sage.

The JAE stock is more along the lines of a specialised "precision/Sniper" stock, while the Sage is an all purpose stock.

If I decided to build another precision M14, I would use the JAE stock.;)

However, the drawback with the chassis systems is the weight. One big reason I let "IRENE" go.

SKBY.

Damn this stupid 100$ limit... I really wanted one, especially since I've read on West-Texas Armory website than JAE now makes a model especially for Chinese M14 (Polytech and Norinco) that fits all the little things that differs from the US model.

I'd guess that the reason why many stocks have the cutout is because they're military surplus, or are designed for military use on auto M14s (less probable though).

New production stocks designed for M1A won't have this cut, this JAE stock would be a good example.
