J.G.A. ZELLA-MEHLIS Germany .22

JGA is an older version of what is now called Anschutz. Zella-Mellis refers to the location in Germany where JGA made firearms before WWII. This area had other gunmakers as well. After WWII many of these manufacturers moved to what became West Germany. Anschutz went to Ulm.

A JGA pre-war rifle may well be a Flobert I action model. See the top example below. Prewar rifles may have appeared similar to the example at bottom. Parts haven't been made for decades. Another rifle may be cannibalized for parts. Sometimes these are available on the EE.

Big fish ,, JGA Anchutz made more than one model of .22 pre WwII . What model do you have?? Where are the pics?? I have stocks for several models . But without pics there is no way to help you.

gaff's suggestion is a good one. There are about five rifles that are Flobert I action JGA (pre-war Anschutz) models. One has a crack at the rear tang. The site gives a reasonable idea of what these rifles are valued at so the OP can decide if it's worthwhile.
