Hoping to get a little help on this model. Family friend and active hunter has come in to this particular unit through an estate and i'm trying to get an approximate value on it for him.

It is in bnib/never fired condition. Stock is in immaculate shape& factory grease/lube is still present.

$1000 to start IMO. It's pretty nice, but the wood modifications (relief carved stock and reshaped forend) may be a little "off putting" for some. Personally, I don't mind slings on a SxS, but others here in North America hate them. I like the engraving and model. Too bad it wasn't a sub-gauge.

The German's were known for carving the stocks. My first glance at this gun and my opinion was that the carving was not executed as near as well as others I have seen. For me, I would walk away from this gun because of the carving, but again, that's just me. It would fetch more in this country in my opinion if it didn't have the carving.
