About to get a savage 10tr and need to get a scope. Limited funds is looking at the 6x18 Bushnell banner at 200 buck range for example. Rifle meant to be used for some hunting and for trying out Precision shooting. Live in Sutherland Ontario so biggest range is 200yards. I know want more then a 3x9 scope for sure. So hoping for advice and such on what would be a decent scope on a tight budget (day care costs suck)

You should be able to get one for under $300 on the EE when one becomes available.

Interesting hunting gear guy did a review to. Was thinking more zoom to be honest but ya that's a pain on price

I have a sightron 4x12x40 that I really enjoyed for shooting. Decent for hunting and crystal clear. Was right around 300

Just at sportsman show Toronto and found this for 170 tax in. Nikon scope normal 210 range online plus tax. So ya bought one as hey Nikon is usually good. So hey was this good or at least good enough ?

I would avoid the Banner on anything with recoil. I've had 2 6-24 fail on me in the last few months. The windage turret on one crapped out and the insides on another one fell apart. One of them was on a .17HMR and the other was on a .223. I have a 3rd Banner, 3-9, that appears to have lost its nitrogen fill as the inner lens has a film on it, possibly from condensation.
