Wondering if there's any difference in penateration between a jacketed hollow point vs a vmax style or ballistic tip bullets. I have a 22 250 currently using a 50 grain American eagle shoots .75 inch at 100 yards which is good enough for me, I can pick up a box of this ammo at Canadian tire for $23 a box including taxes. While like a vmax style or ballistic tip that ammo ranges from $30-40 a box. I know those polimer tip style bullets have more b.c but with my hunting method of calling for coyotes or sitting on bait my shot not going to be more than 150 yards anyway. Seeing if it's worth paying the extra for the other style bullets or stick to the hollow points ? I haven't got a chance yet to try the hollow points on a coyote yet
