I'm hoping some of you that have a Glock 19 will be able to answer a few questions.

1. Which brand and style of aftermarket barrel do you have?
2. Do you shoot jacketed reloads?
3. Is it reliable?

I'm interested in a 19 with an aftermarket 106mm barrel but I shoot reloads 99% of the time. This would be my first Glock so I'm hoping it will live up to it's "Goes bang every time" reputation, even with an aftermarket barrel.

All of the aftermarket barrels for Glocks (even the 17/22) that I'm aware of have conventional rifling, so they are lead safe, and most have more supportive chambers (not really an issue - that's one of those things about a Glock that is way overblown on the 'net). I had a 19 way back, it was an excellent pistol, probably the best all around pistol Glock makes. A good quality, slightly longer barrel won't change that.

Lone Wolf 106MM black oxidized.
Frontier 124 and 147 and West Cost (Montana Gold) 124 and 147 and some Win 115Gr FMJ.

All shoot fine and nice and accurate. :D

My understanding with centerfire ammunition is that pretty much any barrel will shoot jacketed loads - the only real issues stem from lead w/hex rifling and infrequent cleaning.
