Jae or troy

I kept one jae100 on one of my m14 with the idea of getting around to slapin on a heavy barrel and making a long range shooter.As it is now,with a springfield mount and scope it tips the scale at 14lbs .If I abandon the idea of building a range gun and switch to the troy alum. stock is there much of a weight savings? Thanks
