Japanese 1911 A1?????

[Big Game]

Picked up some guns from an estate sale and one of them is stamped 1911 A1Government Model .45 ACP, and on the other side of the slide "Made in Japan". We can't find the registration for it and there are no other markings on it to give a manufacturer. Anyone have any ideas??? No one that I know has ever heard of a Japanese pistol manufacturer? Thanks.

This might be a silly question but are you 100% sure it's a firearm and not a blank firing replica?

After WW2 Japan actually used quite a few, and made a few American firearms; I remember seeing it once in one of my gun value books.

Edit- If it's stamped 45ACP, it's probably the real deal. Good snag if it is!
