Hi Guy's, I am looking to replace my Remington stock triggers with Jard. My question would be if any one here has experience with their triggers?

It's your choice of course but why not go with a proven performer like a Jewell?

I have not heard anything about Jard myself.

If you want a contact for Jewell triggers give me a PM.

There are a number of quality triggers available. I have a couple of Jards but haven't installed them yet. In North America, the precision premier trigger by far are the Jewell triggers. Shilen triggers are reasonable cost alternative but you have to use your own Rem safety and bolt release. You could also try Riflebasix.

Some smiths tune the original Rem trigger with some success but from a resale prospective its money out the door. By the time you spend $75 for labour and postage, your almost at the price of Shilen and you can always sell the Shilen and recoup some $$. Good money make for smiths who like to work on Remington triggers.

I have a 2-stage CG on a Rem 700 and it is superb. I also have Jewell, the top 1-stage and an Anscuhtz on a PGWDTI and will switch all to CG, however I prefer 2-stage, as do snipers and many fullbore shooters. It is a drop-in with ADL trigger guards, but the lower part of the trigger housing "just fouls the standard BDL floorpalte assembly" according to Peter Jackson. Sam Adams, who just installed my CG R700-TSBR adjusted to 1.5kg second pull, said there was a "very small amount of machining" on the H-S floorplate.

We will advertise prices and details when triggers are landed. Pricing objective is to be similar to Jewell.

Peter

I may have a CG trigger on my CG Millennium rifle. I think you are talking about the one made by HHE? If so, they are excellent triggers. Set them once and never have to #### with it again.
I also have a plain old Remington trigger on a 40X, set for 3.5 lbs. The only thing I don't like about it is, that it's a single stag.

Maynard, same desiner, Robert Chombart, but the CG is a new 4-lever design, manufactured in Scotland under licence by Jackson rifles, who is also the EUR Jewell distributor.

Regards,

Peter
