I had never seen one. It was cheap and came with the long range choke screw insert. It came home because it is so smooth functioning and 2/3 the price of a Turkish shotgun. Any info, experience, and maybe a source for the other choke inserts would be great. I did search but nothing came up here.

If memory serves they were sold through Sears stores back in the 60's and maybe into the early 70's? When I was a teenager and started hunting in the 70's a buddy of mine shot one that had been his fathers and it had some years and wear on it then. I still see the very odd one surface every decade or so but I think you'll be hard pressed to find any parts for one. I'm not sure if a Cutts Compensator or Lyman are the same choke? They sure look like a Cutts.

Power Pac choke systems were manufactured by Pachmayr in the USA. The shotgun was built by High Standard for Sears. Good solid guns that did not sell for much less than the Remington, Winchester or Ithaca models of the day. I would search out Power Pac tubes some may be found. The police department I worked for had a High Standard Riot model (like your model 20) and it must have had thousands of rounds through it over the 35 years it was in service. Good gun.

I'm guessing that your service and mine got a bulk deal Darryl.

Likely they did. Up until I joined the Township PD I only saw model 12 Winchesters and Remington 870s in service. I do know the old High Standard rattled a lot. Spent a lot of 12 hour shifts listening to that old pig rattle in the cruiser mount.
