Hello all, my first post on here, appreciate any answers in advance, my problem is the cartridges not ejecting, I can fire the round but he casing stays in the chamber, and the next round tries to feed but obviously does not. I've replaced the extractor on the bolt itself already but still can't grab the casing out of the chamber.

Did you really clean all the old wax and carbon out of the chamber?
First post should be "Hi ,I am from ? " But most don't say what area they are from.
But welcome aboard from Sask.

Sorry, hi I'm Tyler, I'm also from sask, but up north in creighton, flin flon area, and yes sir that was the first thing I tried, used some dental scrapers and brake clean, got the 50 year old junk out haha, I was given it by my grandfather after he passed away and it never worked for him, trying to get it back to her former glory.

Hi Tyler - Just a thought here. Brake Cleaner isn't a 'universal solvent', and it too leaves residues. I always clean chambers with Boretech C-4 carbon cleaner - let a patch soak for an hour or so in the chamber - then use a brass brush spun in there to clean it better. Then I spray 90% alcohol all around - that doesn't leave much residue if you also run a patch or two thru.

I think what Maple is saying is . . . Please identify the actual firearm. pics of the action would also help. Have you cleaned around the mouth of the chamber, where there would be some sort of extractor 'slot' ? Often the extractor is 'blocked' by some debris, and it doesnt take much for 22s to get stuck.

It's a .22 calibre with the stock scope and stock retractable sling in the butt, I will take it apart I have bore cleaner as well, ill give it a real good scrape and clean and I'll go out later this evening and try it out, ill let you all know how that turns out, thanks

I have had a couple of those, One is a tube feed, also a mag fed, Think the tube feed is a 30? Tyler, with the wood that runs along the frame , they are made by Hi standard.
Lock the bolt back and drop a shell in the chamber to make sure it drops in ALL the way with out any push on it.
If it does, than look at your ext. again??????
On really bad ones, I have run a short 22 pistol brush into the chamber and spun it with a drill, and G96 or? for a bit.
On bolt or lever actions where lots of shorts or longs where shot, the front of the chamber can be plugged with lead, and seize up a LR.

Thanks all, after dome serious elbow grease in the chamber and extraction groove, it's tube fed semi auto, with the wood down the side, but it worked me and the kids dumped about 100 rounds with minor hiccups.
