I recently acquired a JC Higgins 33 that needs a new extractor. I checked the internet
for a video or tutorial on how to disassemble it with no luck. The extractor is formed from sheet metal
so it is probably a common failure item. I plan on machining one out of a grade eight bolt.
Anyone here ever had one apart?

Thanks!
Terry

Easy. Push the pin out of the action above the trigger and the trigger group falls out and the bolt falls out. I put a firing pin and extractor in mine yesterday. Got new parts from Eileen.

The one in the gun was formed sheet metal and I replaced it with a machined one. Eileen owns Saskatoon Gunsmith Shoppe. Ask for her when you call. If shes not in just phone back later.
