Hi, I have an old venerable JC Higgins Model 50 in 30-06, its stock has been repaired at the grip area and is now splitting at the for-stock area, basically its time to retire the stock. I did searches on Google and comming up with limited result in finding replacement wood or synthetic stocks. I get conflicting info on what to look for as JCH rifles were Belgian FN's and/or Mauser 98. I'm certainly not the first looking for this and I'm counting on anyones previous expériences in exactly what I need or at least point me in a direction.
