My Jericho range kit arrived yesterday, but I don't really like a holster that comes with it.
It is a molded retention holster, something I don't need at all.

I'd love to hear/read your opinions about Jericho holsters, preferably based on personal experience.

I am looking for something that is good enough for IPSC and won't wear gun finish too quickly.

I've read few threads on holsters and came to conclusion, that Kydex is the best option for action shooting - it is not as tight as leather, and more convenient (and not so hard on gun's finish) than injection molded retention holster.
I am thinking about buying something like this, but this is not the only option - there are few other good manufacturers that make Kydex holsters for most of pistols.

You know what? The holster that comes with a range kit is not bad at all.

I've removed all sharp edges inside of it using Dremel (sharp knife would work in most cases too) and now I really like it.

It looks good, it's easy to use, and it seems to be not hard on gun finish at all (at least after removing sharp edges on the internal surfaces). And you can change it's angle easily. It is rock solid. It actually seems to be a good holster after minimal tuning.

If the spring on the retention button is too strong or too weak for you, it is easy to replace or modify (cut couple coils). I've just polished edges on the retention button and now it feels a little better.
