Jiggling M305 rear aperture problem

I have been noticing that every time I go to the range my rifle doesn't shoot the same as the time before. I have to re-sight the rifle every time even after shooting the same ammo.

I have noticed that the rear aperture slightly jiggles sideways when I grab it with my fingures however it doesn't move down when I push down on it. I have been reading the posts about swapping the elevation pinion and windage knob with Garand ones. I was wondering if this will fix my problem.

First, is the aperture supposed to jiggle? Would I also have to replace the aperture?

Kind of frustrated with the whole thing.
Thanks in advance for the help,

Sounds like you might have the solution already.... just see if the sight parts swap solves the problem. Mind you if you are gonna scope the rifle, then the iron sights are not an issue anymore.

Replace them and see what happens.

Cheers,
Barney
