So here is the saga.
We (My lovely wife, my daughter and myself) have started silhouette shooting this year. I have a CIL 125 (Anschutz) that I have had for 30 years but it is a bit small for me so my daughter and wife are going to use it. So I have been searching for another rimfire.
Recently I was in a gunshop in NE BC and low and behold here is a CZ Silouette model ON SALE!!! Sweet. I was heading south so asked if they could ship it. No problem. Plus the PST I save from having it shipped is more than the shipping so I save another 10 bucks.
Fast forward a week. Gun arrives in the mail. Take it out, clean it. It wont fire. It cocks but trigger does nothing. So I super clean bolt assembly and trigger assembly. No Go.
Call the gun shop but basically as per usual they have your money so dont care. They give me a CZ number for the states. Call that and they give me a number for the Canadian warranty depot in I believe Burnaby. Call them and its some BS recording that they only answer phones at certain hours blah blah blah. Call them the next day and I have to ship rifle on my dime. They cannot assure a turnaround time but probably 4 weeks plus. No good. Silouette starts in a week.
Call my local gunsmith in Whitehorse, Mr Jim S. Bring her in he says. Get the gun back in a couple days. He says there was a bur on the sear which he took off and no charge.
Thanks for saving the day Jim when the guys that sold me the rifle would do nothing and the service from CZ was so bad.
