Joe's "The Hippy" First Gun.... :-)

Well I been helping out a fellow nutter with his first gun purchase, he paid for the rifle and the Volq. Parts and the rest I scrounged from my parts bin and the scope came from agilent_one.

Stock 10/22 synthetic with Volq. Hammer, Auto Bolt Release and Ext. Mag Release. Scope is a Tasco 3-9x33mm Rimfire that Agilent_One donated and rings are a set of medium weavers I had sitting around... topped off with butler creek flip opens.

His PAL should be in his hands within the next 6 weeks..... just mailed it this week but I think this is a great start for him. Plain jane but with all the neccesary things, without the junk. Trigger pull after the hammer and shims where put in came out at 2.75 lb's.

What do you guys think ..... ?

It begs for a heavy barrel......looks good though Wes...real good....well done. How does it shoot? Does it string rounds as it heats up like most stock barrel Rugers do? A Heavy barrel would help that!

Heavy barrels are available in blued, stainless, blue, red, green, silver, vented, ported, tensioned carbon fibre ect....something for everybody!

actually over at rimfirecentral there is a controversy on the barrel band... most rugers shoot better with it on they are finding... so it is no longer an automatic take off.

actuly, im going to order about 4 25 rnders. i heard the 50rnders dont last to long.

that remides me, i need to order those mags from SIR or WSS, along with some other goodies.

I hope im right about the PAL.
