Do any of our Quebec brethren know which of the several places in Quebec named "St.-Remi" was the birthplace of John Garand?

Has a serious biography of him ever been written, and do any of his relatives still live in the area?
 
Several places?

AFAIK, there is only one. It's the town south of Montreal.

Been there once, several years ago, helping a friend move some furniture into a rented chalet-condo. Very small town and very quiet.

They do NOT have any sort of indication in the town that Garand was born there. Besides, his parents moved to the US when he was 8 years old or so I believe...?
