John Denner is still alive---I spoke to him briefly today.

I bought a number of pieces from him over the years.
I kept trying to find out if he was still alive--- SO today--I picked up the phone and called him.

Most of my conversation was with his wife Sam who I bought many books from over the years---she asked me-- would I like to talk to John--and it happened.

We both came from the Town of Mount Royal --a suburb of Montreal.
 
Have a couple guns that I bought from John many years ago and, interestingly, I was about to try to do a search and see if he is still in the business (even though I thought that VERY unlikely). I still have a couple of his "brochures" around here somewhere with the guns that I had bought listed in them (yeah, I'm not a hoarder). Nit sure but I THINK I was buying guns from John in the late 80's. Could have been the very early 90's. P.S., for the record, when I saw this thread yesterday (I think it was) I thing t it said that "John DENVER" was still alive and then read the thread with that in mind and had no idea what y'all where talking about until I read the new responses this morning and realized it was "Denner". :redface:
 
This was my first purchase from John Denner----1969--when he had his retail store on Greene Avenue in Westmount before they bought the farm in 1974.
