john mason sks mags

picked up some john mason mags from the sks man and cant get them to feed right
wondering if its not seated right as the site said may require some filing which i didnt do
anyone get these mags? and file them?

The biggest problem with SKS (especially russian sks's) is that not two are made exactly the same. The only mags I've used sucessfully without modifying were tapco (so far) but even then a friends gun won't even allow a tapco to seat fully without filing.

Usually 8 out of ten work and then those other ones you have to file .

mine didnt feed right so i shortened the spring because there was too much pressure and unbent the lips a little.now they work just alright
