For 2007 Winchester brought out John Wayne Commemorative Ammunition in 30-30 Win, 44-40, and 45 Colt with "DUKE" as part of the headstamp on each.

Has anyone seen any of this in Canada? If so, where can I get it for my collection.

thanks and regards.

i saw a few boxes at the south shore montreal gun show last month.the boxes looked worn so they probably weren't recent production.don't remember the cals. prob 30-30...

Don't quote me on this, but I believe they have some in .45 Colt at Wholesale sports in Calgary. They may have other calibers as well.

Just drive on down there, grab a stupid number, wait in line for half an hour while some chump looks at every freakin' rifle on the wall and than your in business.

Hows that for a plug and unplug in the same post.

I bought my dad a box of 44-40, 45 colt, and 30-30....boxes seem to be better quality than most ammo cardboard, glossy though, so watch the scratches. As much as I hate to say it, Wholesale in Calgary.

Went to WSS today 28OCT07.

Bought a box of John Wayne 30-30 WIN for $25.99 + tax. They had 4 boxes on the shelf.

The 45 COLT is $36.99 and the 44-40 is $73.99 (YES...$73.99 !! ).
They had a few boxes of each of these kicking about. I'll likely get the 45 COLT, but the 44-40 is a bit much.

I think I have full boxes of all of the Winchester Commemorative amunition issued...I think.

Does anyone know...

Did they issue 32 WIN ammo for the CPR Commemorative rifle? I heard they did, but I've never seen any.

Did they issue 30-30 WIN 100th Anniversary ammo in 1994 to commemorate the Winchester Model 94 rifle? Again, I heard they did,but I've never seen any.

The only other box I'm after is the 348 WIN box marked "Browning" for the Model 71 rifle.

All the cartridges I've collected (accumulated), 22RF boxes, and the Winchester Commemorative stuff...I know some of what I have, but have lost track for the most part. I'd like to take the Commemorative ammo and mount it in shadow box frames to hang on the wall.
