If you own a Johnny Stewart Preymaster call with the wires from the controller to the speaker, you will quickly find out that they get brittle in the cold and snap at the plugs. I have had nothing but trouble with the wires that came with the unit.
I bought two 50 foot 3.5MM 1/8" STEREO AUDIO EXTENSION CABLE M-F *GOLD* from e-bay (delete the spaces after http: ) and they worked much better. Thicker rubber coated wire, still gets stiff in the cold but not nearly as bad as the Johnny Stewart. I also had a shorter length and I cut the female end off and soldered it into the speaker (the original wire was chafed down to the copper where it went into the speaker).

And dont start with the "you should have bought a Foxpro...".
If the Spitfires had been available when I bought this, I would have bought one, and may still as a "Merry Christmas to me" present
