I just joined the XCR club today. I've been thinking about it for a long time, and now that it's in my hands, I am very happy I did it. It's my first 'black' rifle and its the coolest thing I've ever owned :D I should take it to the range today, but I have work to do!

Here's some gun ####:

Millet DMS on an Armalite EX022...

Only problem with this setup I can see already is I might scope myself with the rear sight. It kind of gets in the way at the right eye relief on 4 x. I could move the sight closer to the scope to avoid this but then the covers wont flip up.

I'll be shooting lots of czech surplus with this. Has anyone had problems with the surplus ammo and reliability with the XCR?

nice choice. just put it on gas setting 4 and lube it up good. i have fired probably 1500 - 1750 of surplus through mine.

So I couldn't handle this cool ass gun sitting around and not doing anything.

I finally gave in at 5pm and drove out to the Homestead Range.

This is the first time I have shot past 100 yards, and it was suprisingly easy - I hope when the CZ gets scoped it will be just as easy :)

I was shooting '93 Vintage Czech surplus.
Didn't get enough time to setup the TRS-1, so I just used the Millet DMS on the Armalite mount.

After I got it zeroed at 100 yards I got this group

This is my first group at 150 yards

I wanted to see if the Armalite mount would hold zero, so i took it off and put it back on and tried for a second group at 150 and got this:

And heres what I got out at 200

There were peices of clays on the berm in the back, and it was really easy to hit these, or at least get close enough to turn them over with the impact in the soil.

I was shooting from the bench with my jacket all bunched up as a makeshift sand bag. I was also using the 'bag on the mag' technique I remember reading about here somewhere.

As the instructions said to do, I put 220 rounds through it on gas setting 4 to break it in. It worked like dream and seemed to have less recoil than my 858s do.

All in all, I am sooooooooooooooooooooo happy with this rifle. :D

Now I have to figure out a way to start paying for it :runaway::confused:
