Couldn't find any Mosins here in Winnipeg, so i ordered from Westrifle. i like the detailed pics they have so i didn't feel as bad about not inspecting it myself.
Gives you a good look at everything besides the chamber and the bore, but i trust they didn't give me a shot out rifle.

An Arsenal from 1940 i believe it is. I was trying to get one from before the war as they are supposed to be a bit nicer looking. But i thought 1940 is before operation Barbarossa, so it cant be as bad as a 1943-44. :p

Anyways, i grabbed this one because it has a Bent Bolt on it like the sniper version... But its not a sniper version.
I thought this was interesting and iv'e never seen one before.

Its a refurb, like most. Did they do this after the war? can't be that unique since they had a couple others on the site.
Not a huge mosin historian, but has anyone have any input on this?
I love the history of these rifles! :D

lol alright. kinda odd. but i like it!, and a lot of people get it done anyways. the straight one seems a bit awkward. So much for keeping things original if i wanted to though. Which i don't care that much. they are a dime a dozen pretty well. or 2 big dimes at least.

i guess its worked into the price somehow though.

Winnipeg Mosins available at Wholesale Sports as well as the Canadian Tire locations on Leila and Kenaston if you feel like another. Rumour has it that the picking is best right now at CT Leila.

Three scenarios are possible.
A. the bolt is off a sniper and was for some unknown reason arsenaled with it (extremely unlikely/basically impossible as that wasn't Soviet practice all ex-snipers were given straight bolts)
B. The straight bolt was bent down into a bent bolt This is possible but not the most likely
C. It is a newly manufactured bent bolt (possible through a variety of options such as cutting off the straight handle and installing a bent one or just being a newly manufactured bolt body) installed on the rifle. This is the most likely option out of the three.

Thanks! im sure i will get another one. u can not simply have only one mosin nagant. I thought all the wpg Cdn tires sucked for firearms. i did buy my sks at the one in selkirk which has a great firearms department. Will check it out! and i need ammo now anyways.

You are right!! My Mosin's are starting to multiply almost as fast as my SKS collection......lol

Russian rifles multiply very quickly I'm up to 2 91/30, a m38, a m44, a PU sniper,2 sks and an svt-40. 3 of those very bough this week lol but what the heck they aren't always going to be available and the price is right so why not.
