joined two clubs

It sounds to me like I'm not going to be owning my own firearm anytime soon simply because I can't afford the $600 membership fee at the club closest to my house. This is so frustrating. How can they get away with charging such rediculous prices while other provinces people are paying under a hundred for their whole family for a YEAR!

Gaaah...frustrating...

PSST. Word on the street is that in Ontario you do not need to be a member of a club to own unrestricted or restricted firearms. You only have to intend to join a club in the future to own restricted firearms.

Matt is right about gun clubs near the city being too expensive...makes it kinda hard to be a part of this hobby...If I only lived closer to Waterloo I would join Colby's...ohh well guess have to save up more....

:D
Shooting is an expensive sport.

Check the internet.........they're not giving away handguns or the ammo to feed them either.

There are facilities that rent guns & you'll be able to try out different ones so you'll have an idea what you want when the financial picture looks a little rosier........maybe you'll win the friggin lottery.......who knows. ;)

What about Guelph Rod & Gun Club? They're at Eden Mills which is east of Guelph and shouldn't take more than 45 min from Toronto, fees are $225/yr and have outdoor ranges and an indoor range. www.grgc.ca
