JR Belt Question

Quite possibly the dumbest question ever asked....

I just received my JR belt from F.V. and would like to know how to use it. The inner and outer belt I get, but what's the third piece for? It looks like it's supposed to be some sort of belt buckle (the part with 'JR' on it), but is it necessary to use, and if so, how might one use it properly? Is it supposed to wrap around the inner and outer belt, or just the overlapped part of the outer belt?

Thanks

If it is like my CR Speed one, you can throw it in your gun bag and never touch it again. They are supposed to be used to secure the two belts together, but if the velcro doesn't do it that's not going to help. I think it's more of a marketing thing.

I was also very confused... Here is how it was explained to me.

1- take of your pants belt
2-replace said belt with the inner JR belt in through you belt loops, velcro pointed out
3-attatch the outer JR belt to the inside portion that is in the belt loops of your pants. Make sure the holster and mag pouches are positioned as required. Secure the velcro.
4-wrap the JR belt buckle dealio around the front on the setup in lieu of a normal belt buckle to prevent seperation.
5-Load and make ready...mike mike mike, DQ

Good luck and I hope that helps.

What he said except I leave my pants belt on. I find it helps hold up my pants.

The extra loop is to keep the belts from separating. With the weight of many full magazines combined with the jarring motion of running, it is possible for the outer velcro belt to start coming off.

I actually saw this happen to Mike B in Florida. On one stage, his velcro outer belt started falling off. There was plenty of velcro to keep it from falling off completely, but he ended up having to reach quite far behind him to grab magazines from his pouches.

I have the video:dancingbanana: , and if I ever figure out how to post it here, I will

I use a CR belt , but I've found I use the third thing ( buckle ) to secure the outer belt only together . I have it set front and center so when I put my outer on the holster and mag pouches are always in the right (same) spot every time .
works for me anyway .

I use the CR belt and holster. I have glued velcro (using the 2 stage 5 minute epoxy glue) to the backs of my mag pouches, also CR. I found that this help hold everything up and in place.
