Has anybody used a .40 S&W glock 17 magazine to feed their Jr Carbine 9mm? How did it go? is it worth it for the extra couple of 9mm rounds that can be stuffed into a 40 S&W magazine?

Thanks

I've never heard of a .40S&W Glock 17 magazine. As for Glock 22 magazines, you may have stove pipes due to the feed lips being farther apart. IMO it's not worth it for 2-3 extra rounds in the magazine. You're already getting 10 rounds per magazine, so why compromise reliability?

lol you say im getting a 10 round magazine like its a good thing...like a gift from government.. ####ing mag restrictions. But you confirmed what i did suspect would happen. Thanks bud

My Beretta Cx-4 NR is completly reliable with the 6 mags Beretta 96 40 S&W i bought, i am good for 14 rounds with one in the chamber... JP.

I've tried both the factory Glock mags and KCI mags. About 2-4 failures per mag and, as mentioned earlier, feed lips seem to be the problem.

This thread has got me thinking though, what would it take to make Beretta mags work in the JR? Modify the existing magwell? Or do the Glock and Beretta mags have different dimensions and feed angles, to the point that it wouldn't work?

Sig and Beretta have magazines with feed lips that are pretty close, between the 9mm & .40. Glock magazines don't seem to work well like this.
