JR Carbine 9mm product review – Varmint hunting application

to OP, thanks for the review.
this gun is next on my list to look at picking up and i enjoyed your review of it!
always good to see the gun your interested in out working before you slap down the $1200 on one.

thanks again!

I sure like my 9mm JR Carbine. Economic to feed, reasonably accurate and reliable. Looks pretty sharp too.

Thanks for the review. I have one also in 9mm, the one thing sure could use a huge improvement is the trigger. I wish Timney(#667-S) at $250 could have an alternative for say a $100. Have since upgraded to TriggerTech, what an improvement.

Thanks to the op for the write up. Interesting article. I wonder if a Jr carbine in 10mm wpuld fair better for windage and elevation.

Oddly enough the answer to an improved trajectory, affordable, non-restricted, light and small varminting carbine is ”Mini-14”.

I tried the 9mm carbine for vermin thing and it was fun for a couple weeks, then it struck me as an expensive to feed 10/22. Identical trajectory and didn’t do any better on vermin.

Any updates on this JR Carbine? Thinking about getting one for Christmas, Marine takedown in 9mm. Would love to hear how its working out.

Don't know about him but i've got a few rounds over 2000 thru mine. All flawless. It shoots everything. Gets dirty quick but doesn't stop even after a week of riding up front of my quad in the rifle rack thru bush and gravel pits and logging roads. Very accurate with the red dot I have on it. I wish they made the Jrc in 10mm. Lockheart tactical will be releasing one soon I'm told. The 9mm is called the raven I believe

FYI

Any Mil-Spec trigger should work. However, we recommend the ALG Defense QMS trigger for the Just Right Carbines.
