Jr carbine handguard

I have a early version jr carbine in 40s&w it has the real short hanguard on it.I’m looking for a longer m-lock handguard will any handguard fit and and do I need a barrel nut with the new handguard. Thanks

I’d look on True North Arms website or email them. They sell everything you’d need. Been a while since I’ve taken the barrel for mine to be honest so I’d ask TNA.

I bought one a few years ago from them. Simple barrel nut with free float and away you go. Something like this would work for you…

The TNA free float handguards may need a barrel nut shim (or shave the barrel nut down a few thousandths) to fully tighten the barrel on a JRC. At least that's what happened with my 9mm JRC 5-6 years ago when I swapped out the cheese grater HG.

I have the take down hand guard, it a lot longer and made of aluminum...so you could drill for accessories?
