Has anyone received a combination wrench from JR Firearms for their carbine? They offered to ship me one but I've received nothing. I want to remove the barrel nut and get an AR one on there so does anyone have this tool that I might be able to borrow? Will a standard AR free float wrench work that I could order from Brownells perhaps?

Yes it would be pretty simple, but my father's the machinist and all of his stuff's in my garage while he gets his new workshop constructed.

If free float foreends use a similar pattern nut I'm sure one of those would work. The JR tool is nice in that it works on the stock, barrel nut, and foreend retaining ring, and helps alleviate one of my primary gripes about the gun - lack of easy takedown. As it is I've been removing/installing the stock nut by hammering with a drift on one of the crenels which is less than optimal, and I find after a hundred rounds it loosens up which can lead to malfunctions.

My personal opinion, this tool ought to have been included with the gun since it's essentially mandatory for proper assembly/disassembly!
