I just wanted to give a thumbs up here on CGN for the JR Carbine warranty system.

I straight up lost the lock washer that goes between the bolt handle screw and the bolt handle. I emailed JR Carbine sales and told them what happened; they sent me out a new lock washer, bolt handle screw AND bolt handle free of charge - sent via expedited USPS.

If anyone is wondering, without the lock washer the bolt handle screw goes too far into the bolt, and the firing pin doesn't move.. which is quite frustrating on the range. :)

I for one always judge a company by how their 'after the sale service' is, and JRC definitely passes in my books.

i had GREAT experiences with them.. i had one of the earlier 1st gens where the bolt was getting stuck.. They sent me part after part from New York, didn't pay a cent. The head gunsmith/technical guy called me twice at home on his dime to figure out the problem, great company..

I hate to say it, but couldn't you have gotten a lockwasher from the hardware store for pocket change and been back in business in a half hour? I think it's great that they are awesome with customer service, but this isn't a proprietary part.

WRH: absolutely could have! only problem is, is I don't know the thickness of the lock washer and when I went with the bolt handle and bolt handle screw that's the first thing they asked.

It only took 3 days for them to get it to me, and I usually only go out on the range on the weekends.. and.. it's ready for this weekend. :)

Fair enough. I'm happy to hear they have such great support, though I haven't needed it yet. It seems like they are really trying to make their name and stand behind their product.

I agree solid cs is a must, but expecting a company to send parts that you lost is not a fair assessment of any businesses cs. Its definitely a huge plus but its far from required.

They took care of a missing extractor spring on mine that I had bought used, they send me new spring and extractor no charge. I was very happy with the outcome!

Had to resurrect this thread. Last weekend I finally had the JRC out at my buddy's property 4.5 hours away. First time firing it too so I was extra hyped. Loaded a magazine, cocked, click.....no bang. hand-eject....click no bang....4 times. took buttstock off and visually inspected firing pin while pushing with a nail and, completely frozen. I immediately suspected an over tightened bolt handle screw and of course that was the ONLY hex key I didn't bring! On returning home I removed the screw to find NO lockwasher. I popped in a small o-ring and that should suffice. One beef I do have is why did they have to use a different sized hex for every damn screw!!!! Otherwise, it's a beautifully machined piece of work..
