had a chance to look at a jr carbine in 9mm noticed that there are steel screws holding the lower and the mag well in place that thread into aluminum reciver, also the bolt uses the chareing handle for alignment. was wondering if anyone has wear issues with these issues. also the fireing pin appears to be shorter than the bolt, relying on inertia to impact primer, this must cause light or no primer strikes. dont know if this was a flaw with this individual rifle or occurs in all modles. also wondering if a longer fireing pin could be machined to counter this issue. its a neet blow back at an inexpensive price but if it strips screws and wears bolt handles or worse the reciever, inexpensive may mean throw away. would like to get one as a plinker but would like feed back before i pick one up, dont expect accuracy just plinking at 50 yards. thanks adam

Take a look at the fireing pin in a rem 870, or a benelli M4. Two examples of short fireing pins that work. I've got just about 2000 rounds through mine now. No serious signs of wear on any parts as of yet. That's not bad for a new firearm. They are having growing pains tho. Lots of threads going on that already

What Matt said. There may be some issues with the carbine, mostly in .45, but the firing pin is not one of them. Not had any issues with light strikes or failure to fire.

Inexpensive  ? mine cost over $1k with tax and shipping etc. Where are you getting yours for a song? I'd like a few dozen more  !

sorry should have said relatively in expensive compared to say a kriss, just tired of waiting for my mini-14 to come in gotta be 6 months now

going to have to get a grip or cover gaurds (or a new fore end) the fore end uncomfortable or is it just me getting soft in my old age i wonder

Quad rail forends are great for hanging tackykewl stuff on the gun. As a forend they are large with lots of edges. Install rail covers and they are even larger. An AR tubular forend and barrel nut should work.

I enjoy mine, but I too found that the forend leaves a little to be desired. As it is my first black rifle I am going to try a front grip on it before I look at other forends.

I like this mid length Pachmayr on my .40, the top rail has more than enough room on it for both a Burris Fast Fire and a pistol lazer.

The issues with the 45ACP are in the feeding.

They tend to stove pipe. The bolt can be brutal on the brass! I have had cases that were crushed and perferated into the powder chamber!
Hopefully they can correct that problem.

They sure are fun to shoot!
