Yes, that is a white pine ten feet in front of the camera. The camera used a flash it was so dark in there.
I believe in pushing the thick stuff, it's a PIA, but sometimes, it pushes out the big boys.
He swam the swamp, didn't get a shot, only a fleeting glimpse.

thats where we always dog. The most miserable thick stuff around. All the other gangs push the deer (mostly big bucks) into these swamps, by the second or third day of the season we dog it and got deer running every which way. The big ones are smart, you almost got to step right on top of them to get them to move.
