I'll be there too, along with my mom (won't be shooting though, for real this time...i think), my dad and a friend.

The range is going to be crowded! Tim said they'd be 60+ people!

We are certainly looking forward to seeing the Montreal and Quebec shooters this match! I am excited about the fact that we can field so many QC Service Rifle lovers!! :D

Gotta get packing for the weekend road trip!

Hell yeah, this is going to be another great match. Even though I couldn't "acquire" any 5/30 round mags in time I have "improvised" some pretty sturdy ones. mag pouches are just a bit short tho... :D

with the amount of work i need to do before the quebec range inspector come, i will not have time to go down and shoot. i want to finish the skeet range prior to is arrival. but i will try to make it down further down the road.

My rifle is topped with an EO right now with no scope zero. Damn.

I miss you guys with OSA. :(

It was a really big part of the experience for me, goofing off with you guys.

Well the SR Match @ Connaught is done and most of the participants are on the road. I had a great time, got to meet Tons45-II and a few others. This time I got some pictures of this SR.

First I'd like to say that Timk and Hungry run a great SR Match.

I'm home now. All showered and kit is in the laundry to prepare for the coming weekend's (20-21 Jun 2009) SR match at Base Boredom, Bantario. :D

As I drove home, I could not help but compile a list of things to be thankful for. At the risky of sounding goofy, here goes:

* TimK for his commitment to making the matches happen and also in a humourous way
* SG of the GGGGFG's for his support and commitment to the SR game, trg for his troops, and Sgt Maj DA for his support, too.
* Our QC contingent for being so good looking! :D And also driving a ways from Quebec City, Montreal and points east. No, seriously... thanks for networking, shooting, and laughing at our jokes (in the butts and on the line)
* All the helpers who volunteered to clean up the ranges, tear down the targets, count up all the stores, help us return the gear, cart the helmets, empty the trash cans, etc, etc. Without all their help we could not have completed the 200 yd matches by 1100 hrs, the 300 yd matches by 1545, and today's 500 yd matches by 1100 hrs.
* Our wonderful stats person! :dancingbanana:
* All the shooters who helped me run a super smooth butts/target operation since without your efforts we would be picking up brass by the time the mess hall closed... :(

* We have many more things to be grateful for, but amnesia is kicking in and so is that sunburn....
* Oh yeah, thanks for posting all those pics. Couldn't you guys photograph my SKINNY side? ;)

Was my first SR match. Only made it for the Saturday afternoon, but was a good time, and I learned a lot.

Will definietely come out again. Looking forward to the next match July 18-19!

Thanks much to Tim and Hungry.

Was another great match, even though it did not rain :D

The knowledge and kit showing up at these matches is becoming incredible. Things have come a long way since I first starting showing up a few years ago (thanks to Sniper1). Lot's of Montreal & Quebec area shooters, I am glad for the Connaught ranges being available for these matches cus Quebec really sucks for these types of 'gun games' therefore a huge thanks to Tim for making these possible, I know Hungry and Tim put up with alot of crap to make these happen.

Ton45-II was quit the matcho man, for doing the 500m rundown with his Kifaru pack (>30-40lbs worth) :D, he has proven the M305 to be a great contender in capable hands. (Nice bolt safety 'block' :D)

I got the chance to try out my new Trijicon TR24G (1-4x24mm with green triangle post) :D:D:D:D :dancingbanana:(thanks to Ryan @ Wolverine for getting that to me in time for the match :):))

Thanks to Sniper1 for bailing me out on the weekend, need to add "do not forget ammo on work bench" to my check list. Thanks for the saturday night entertainment.
