This is a morning-mid afternoon match that is open, meaning to anyone with three guns. It is also a test match for doing the same in the future, with some concepts we want to see work in a match including a relay stage. That's right. You have to form into teams of three and take a combined score. More on this later. Also, we would love more sponsors...

Interested in how the relay works and would love more details

It's an open discussion internally here. It's something that works a lot better within an IPSC-only event where everyone is certified. But hopefully with compromises it will still be fun. Like I said, this is a match that will test some concepts. Will reveal more later.

Thanks to Silveragent for hosting this match.

I was originally planning to be more involved, but unfortunately I had to step back as I have an obligation on Vancouver Island and in the US the weekend this is going on.

We'll have some sweet prizes and I hope everybody has fun at the match!

Also thanks to the Parsons at Custom Reloading Services for their support as well.

And I'm welcoming Gearhouse Camera Rentals as a props sponsor. For those of you who shoot video or are photographers, check out Gearhouse for reliable and flexible rentals on cameras, lenses, tripods, cranes, lighting, you name it. The owner and operator is known on CGN as the_klenzer. Thanks klenzer!

It is an open match. Just bring your Restricted PAL and fee. This is a fun match so go at your own speed. Some of the rules (that we are still going over) will be modified so in that respect there will be some newness for everyone, regardless of experience.

three weeks to go

Three weeks to the event with some announcements:

  • We want to get an idea of the numbers so if you know you will attend please send us an email below. There is not enough time for pre-registrations but we want to know numbers even if you do not have a team assembled. pocoextremepistol@gmail.com.
  • The Course of Fire will be released early this week.
  • To clear up a question: the larger stage, range 3, will be the team relay only. The other four stages are individually scored. There will be separate scoring for individuals and for the one team event. You could show up and shoot only individual or only team but what's the fun in that? Same fee for all.
  • there are no divisions, so everyone is 'Open'. Again this is a fun match.
  • The longest range will be a little less than 50m.
  • Ammunition restrictions: steel shot, no slugs. Rifle: .223 and lower / sorry we could not get 7.62 approved for this match but possibly for the future. Pistol carbines for the rifle component fine.
  • Black Badge certified shooters will have holster starts but the advantage will not be great in the stage designs. Best shooter will win.
  • most of the prizes will be draws
  • Food on your own
  • Anyone showing up to the setup day March 31st will receive an extra draw ticket and if there is time we will preshoot (for testing)

Please continue to send questions to our email: pocoextremepistol@gmail.com. Also if you are an IPSC shooter and member of Poco, please consider joining our Facebook group. Indicate if you want in your email.

May 31 st? What time?

Also anyone who has experience ROing in IPSC, Tacmatch, 3Gun and the equivalent, please let me know if you can take on some extra duties during the event as we have a shortage of qualified ROs at this time. I will arrange something extra as a reward for those who can do so.
