I was at an O.R.A intro day today and there was 11-12 students there that braved a rainy, soggy day to try there hands at longer range shooting.

Everyone had a good time , had a chance to try something new to them, played safe and I think thoroughly enjoyed their day even if they did have a soggy ride home.

I think we might have a few new prospective O.R.A. members as well now.

Well done guys (no girls this time) and I hope to see you on the range again.
Thanks as well to all the volunteers/coaches that came out and did their part again too.

Mike.

Sounds great. And good for them for getting through a rainy day (they must be young and keen! ;-)

In fullbore shooting in the Maritimes this weekend, we fired the Inter Maritime Team Match (fired since 1885, NS vs. NB vs. PEI) on Saturday at NSRA's Bull Meadow range. It was supposed to rain all day, but we got away scot-free, and were quite pleased with ourselves. Sunday was the British Team Match, but it was raining quite hard and we cancelled the match for that day; clearly, we didn't have the gumption that your new shooters did, they ought to be proud of themselves!

That's great! I'm looking at joining the ORA myself to get acquainted with long range shooting seeing as how that was the main reason I got my Rem 700. I'm a university student in Kingston so I'm thinking of just starting off by getting a Kingston only membership and attending their practices up on base. Unfortunately, I'm in Nova Scotia for the summer and will miss out on the summer sessions. Nonetheless I imagine I should get off my rear and send in an application.
