Picked up a complete Jungle Carbine with matching serial #'s and front wood. The rear stock has been Bubba'd. Is it worth replacing the rear stock with a Sarco current production replacement stock, or should I be looking for original wood?

Nice wood, but pricey. How much would a jungle carbine restored to original be worth?

restored??? all depends on what you do to "restore" it....if it just gets replacement wood that is NOT refinished, it will hold it's value. they can go from 350 - 600 depending on bore condition, headspacing etc.
worst thing is bubba, stocks, sights, flash hider, bayo lug, drilled/tapped etc.....as long as it's all there and correct I think my number is pretty close.
I believe the BSA's are more valuable than the Faz as there are less of them out there.

Thanks for all the info. The only thing that's been Bubba'd is the rear stock, so if I could find one and an original web sling I think it would be "restored". I don't know if these came with bayonets, I just don't know much about them. Guess I'll have to start looking into some history on this rifle.

ohhh there's bayonet's for them alright, however they are almost bringing as much $ as the rifle itself. last few I've seen were over $300.
you may get lucky and find one at a show somewhere for less if they don't know what they have, but those who have them tend to "know".
there are also reproductions marked R.F.I. for around $75. opinions differ on these, some fit well and others need a lot of work.

Of course it depends on a lot of factors... But if it has correct parts, looks good and functions properly a Jungle Carbine will be worth more like $600-700 easily.

After market wood/parts are fine if you want nice looking shooter, but if you want to restore it as a collectable then... Original is the only way to go.
